I was born and raised in Princeton, IL. I am the youngest of two with the most amazing parents and sister anyone could ever ask for.
If I told you I had always wanted to be a chiropractor that would be a lie. Growing up we never went to a chiropractor, I had no idea what a chiropractor even did.
After graduating from Princeton High School I completed my undergraduate studies at Illinois State University with a degree in Biological Sciences. My plan was to be a forensic scientist for the Illinois State Police. Luckily, Spring semester of my senior year I took a Neurology course at ISU. I fell in love with neurology and knew this was something I needed to pursue. I knew for a fact that I didn’t want to be a neurologist; I had no desire to ever want to perform surgery. I thought, “There has to be a way to be able to help people, impact their nervous system and quality of life, all while allowing the body to heal itself”...this is how I stumbled across chiropractic.
I received my first chiropractic adjustment at the age of 21 after I was already
a student at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. I graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2011 and worked as an associate doctor in Iowa while working on my post-doctorate degree. In 2014 I received my Diplomate in Clinical Chiropractic Pediatrics rendering me board certified in pediatric and pregnancy chiropractic. In 2015, the doors to Family Tree Chiropractic were opened and I could not be more grateful and blessed to care for our amazing patients. It’s an honor to wake up every day getting to serve all of you, thank you!
